Cats own us. We have always had them, usually more than one at a time. They rub against us, purr in our laps and whine whenever they need to be feed or petted.
We put up with their fur in our computer keyboards, on our furniture and clothes. We lovingly clean their litter boxes (well, maybe not), and care for them.
They certainly provide us with joy and companionship.

Snow!
Overnight we had another snow storm that will continue throughout the morning. Elijah is out shoveling as I type. It looks like 4 or 5 inches fell. At least the temp is in the double digits (19 degrees). The snow is light and fluffy so easier for him to shovel. Thank goodness for my sweet boy who starts my car in the morning whenever it's cold out. Sure wish I could go snuggle under the covers and go back to sleep!

COLD But Beautiful
COLD
The temps have been nearly unbearable for over a week now. When I leave for work its either in the single digits or below zero!! Brrrrr. We're all getting cabin fever and starting on colds. How can it be almost Valentine's Day and here we are freezing?
On the other hand, it's a beautiful site to watch the sunrise at 7am and see the ice glistening on the trees and bushes. The icicles on houses are unbelievable. Some reach down 2 ft or more! The stark trees with traces of snow clinging to them are awesome indeed.
